"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like."
"But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child."

When you ask the question,
"How can I help my child or adolescent do better in school?",
do the answers you get "sound like":
| He/she needs to pay attention and work harder | |
| He/she needs to get motivated and take responsibility | |
| He/she needs to spend more time studying and on homework | |
| He/she needs to learn to behave and stay on task | |
| Maybe you need to become a better parent |
Your child's real needs have not been accurately identified well enough and you are feeling guilty about something you shouldn't.
A successful academic experience requires an understanding of the learning style and the specific needs of each child - they are different for every child. We can help identify your child's learning style. When children have difficulty in school, typically there are issues in their learning environment that prevent them from performing to their ability. We can identify those issues.
Our approach utilizes an "Educational Success Assessment", a tool developed by leading experts in the field. The assessment clearly identifies the needs, issues, help and adjustments needed to improve the chances for a successful educational experience.
In addition, the "Issues and Observations Inventory" identifies very specifically those areas that are significantly effecting the student's Academic and Behavioral performance. These become the foundation of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), including a Behavioral Plan when necessary.
Utilizing these tools, we will help prepare an IEP that will be submitted to your school's Case Conference Committee. We will assist you by negotiating and advocating for you and your child at the Case Conference.
